Camp Puzzle Peace, Inc. Position Notice
Position: Weekend Trail Teacher
Location: Autism Nature Park Letchworth State Park
Responsibilities:
- Greet families at the trailhead and assist families when needed
- Oversee and direct the trail staff
- Provide programming at the trail/ Theme based programs
- Organize materials and maintain the office space at the ANT
- Work with ANT Programming Director and CPP Executive Director
- Secure photos
- Be the point of contact for families needing specialized assistance and support at the ANT
- Work with Humphrey Nature Center Staff
- Be well versed in the background of The Autism Nature Trail and Camp Puzzle Peace
- Provide some on site maintenance such as keeping the trail cleaned up and some lighting weeding when needed
- Set up and take down tables and supplies needed for weekend programming
- Candidates must be 20 years of age or older
We are looking for individuals with a strong background in working with individuals with disabilities. This candidate must either be a certified teacher or an individual that currently is working with special needs individuals in a school based setting. Special consideration will be given to individuals currently obtaining a special education degree and enrolled in a college program.
Start/End Date:
September 1,2023 - October 31,2023
(looking to hire staff to stay on for 2024 season also)
Work Hours: Saturday-Sunday, 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Salary: $40.00

- Support the teacher on the trail and act as assistant
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older
